What is digital triage?

Digital triage is an online symptom assessment done before the patient reaches a health facility. A clinical engine asks questions based on what the person describes and suggests the right level of care: self-care, online consultation, in-person visit or emergency.

At Medikorp, triage runs on Mediktor technology, which according to the manufacturer carries CE marking as a medical device. The clinical guidance comes from that engine and not from a language model. It is recorded for the medical team.

Insurers, hospitals and ministries use it as the front door. Patients write from the website, the app or the WhatsApp line of their insurer or hospital and get guidance before taking up a consultation.

Smart routing

Smart patient routing sends each patient to the service they need based on their triage result: general practice, specialist, telemedicine or emergency. It applies rules agreed with the provider network, so the patient reaches the right place and the network keeps its capacity for the cases that need it.
