What is the difference between telemedicine and teleconsultation?

Telemedicine is any health service delivered remotely through technology, such as consultations, follow-up of chronic patients or reading test results. Teleconsultation is one part of it: the scheduled appointment between the patient and a clinician by video call, phone or chat.

A telemedicine service works better with triage first. Each patient enters the right teleconsultation and cases that need in-person care are routed from the start.

In Medikorp's online medicine, consultations arrive with triage already done, so the doctor starts with clinical context.
